1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of vehicles by PCO Cars Hire to you (The User) . These Terms apply to all Vehicles, including Private Hire Vehicles (PHVs) licensed in London (“PCO Cars”) and Wolverhampton plated cars (“Wolverhampton Cars”).

2. Eligibility and Requirements
   
   

• To rent a Vehicle, you must:
  • Be at least 23 years old (age may vary depending on Vehicle type).
  • Hold a valid full driver’s license for at least 3 years.
  • Meet any additional licensing requirements for PCO Cars or Wolverhampton Cars, as applicable.
  • Provide a valid form of identification (passport or driving license).
• You are required to provide proof of valid personal vehicle insurance that meets the minimum legal requirements for operating a vehicle in the United Kingdom. This insurance must cover the type of Vehicle you are renting and the duration of your rental period.
  
  

3. Reservations and Booking
   
   

• Reservations can be made online, by phone, or in person.
• Full payment details (excluding security deposit) are required at the time of booking.
• We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if payment is not received or if you do not meet eligibility requirements, including proof of valid personal vehicle insurance.
  
  

4. Vehicle Selection and Availability
   
   

• We will use reasonable efforts to provide the specific Vehicle you request. However, we reserve the right to substitute a similar Vehicle of equal or greater value if your requested Vehicle is unavailable.
• We are not responsible for any delays or disruptions caused by unavailability of a specific Vehicle.
  
  

5. Rental Period and Rates
   
   

• Rental rates vary depending on the Vehicle type, rental duration, and chosen package.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly rates are available.
• Additional fees may apply for features like one-way rentals, additional drivers, and low-mileage usage.
• A security deposit will be authorized on your credit card upon vehicle pick-up. This deposit will be refunded upon vehicle return, subject to any damage charges.
  
  

6. Insurance (Please Read Carefully)
   
   

• We do not offer any insurance coverage for the Vehicles.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring you have valid personal vehicle insurance that meets the minimum legal requirements and covers the type of Vehicle you are renting for the rental period.
• We recommend consulting with your insurance provider to confirm coverage for rental vehicles.
  
  

7. Vehicle Use
   
   

• You are responsible for the safe operation of the Vehicle and for any damage caused during the rental period.
• Vehicles are only to be used for legal purposes and in accordance with all traffic regulations.
• Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in all Vehicles.
• You are liable for any fines, parking tickets, or tolls incurred during the rental period.
  
  

8. Vehicle Condition and Return
   
   

• You are responsible for returning the Vehicle in the same condition it was received, with a full fuel tank and clean interior.
• We will assess the Vehicle upon return and charge you for any missing items, damage beyond normal wear and tear, or excessive cleaning required.
  
  

9. Breakdown and Assistance
   
   

• We offer roadside assistance for all Vehicles. Specific details of the program will be provided at the time of rental.
• You are responsible for any costs associated with breakdowns caused by driver negligence, and any damages not covered by your personal insurance policy.
  
  

10. Termination and Early Return
    
    

• We reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and repossess the Vehicle if you violate any of these Terms, including failing to provide proof of valid personal vehicle insurance.
• No refunds will be issued for early returns unless due to mechanical breakdown of the Vehicle.
  
  

11. Disclaimer of Liability
    
    

• We are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to your belongings or to any third party arising from the use of the Vehicle, unless it can be proven to be a direct fault of PCO Cars Hire.
  
  

12. Dispute Resolution
    
    

• Any disputes arising from these Terms will be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  
  

13. Modifications
    
    

• We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.

15. Additional Terms for PCO Cars
    
    

• You are responsible for ensuring you meet all PCO Licence requirements and adhere to Transport for London (TfL) regulations for operating a PCO Car.
• We are not responsible for any fines or penalties incurred due to non-compliance with TfL regulations.
  
  

16. Additional Terms for Wolverhampton Cars
    
    

• You are responsible for being familiar with any specific regulations applicable to Wolverhampton Cars.
  
  

17. Force Majeure
    
    

• We will not be held liable for any delays, cancellations, or disruptions to your rental caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, severe weather conditions, strikes, or civil unrest.
  
  

By renting a Vehicle from PCO Cars Hire, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all of the Terms and Conditions set forth in this agreement.
